With the start of 2025, we are welcoming two new PhD students, Alina and Lara! Alina is going to characterize a new translation quality control factor and look at its roles for mitochondrial proteostasis. Lara will apply nanopore sequencing to examine ribosome biogenesis in aging cells, as a shared PhD student, jointly supervised by the Winz and Butto labs. A warm welcome to both of you!!!
